We are hitting the big one today

Today is the day that Freya and I will attempt the 18.6 km of the Wood Bison Trail. It should take us around 9 hours. The weather is looking promising, but storms are a possibility. It is now rutting season, but we are told that the Wood Bison on this trail go out of there way to avoid people, unlike their Plains Bison cousins in the northern section of the park. Still, we will have to be on our guard for any overly agressive males. Wish us luck!

We will try to post some audio from the trail if I can get cell service.
